Wali Privacy Policy
Effective October 2026
Wali is a household budgeting app made by iScale Studio, based in Capas, Tarlac, Philippines (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what happens to your information when you use Wali.
The short version: everything you enter in Wali stays on your phone. We don’t have servers that receive your data, we don’t ask you to make an account, and we don’t track you.
What you enter
Wali stores what you type into it: your household name, income sources and paydays, budget categories and limits, savings settings, accounts and balances, bills and their due dates, credit card statement and due days, and the expenses and income you record, including any notes and the “paid by” names you add.
Where it is stored
This information is saved only in the app’s private storage on your device. It is not sent to iScale Studio or to anyone else. We cannot see it, and we cannot recover it for you.
What we don’t collect
- No account, email address or phone number is required.
- No location, contacts, photos or other device data is accessed.
- No analytics, advertising or tracking tools are included in the app.
- No data is sold or shared with third parties.
Bill reminders
If you turn on reminders, Wali schedules them on your phone as local notifications at the time you choose. A reminder shows the bill’s name only, never an amount, and nothing is sent to us. You can turn reminders off in Settings or in your phone’s notification settings.
Face ID and your passcode
Wali can ask for Face ID or your device passcode before exporting or erasing data. This check is handled by your phone’s operating system. Wali never receives or stores your face data or passcode.
Exporting your data
You can export your records as a file from Settings. The file is created on your device and handed to your phone’s share sheet. Where it goes next (email, a chat app, cloud storage) is your choice, and that service’s own privacy policy applies.
Device backups
If your phone’s own backup is turned on (for example iCloud Backup), your operating system may include Wali’s data in that backup. Those backups are controlled by Apple and your account settings, not by us.
Contacting us
If you email us for support, we use your message and email address only to reply to you. We don’t add you to any mailing list.
Deleting your data
You can erase everything from Settings → Erase all data, or by uninstalling Wali. Because we hold no copy, there is nothing for us to delete on our side.
Children
Wali is a budgeting tool for adults managing a household. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone.
Your rights
Under the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173), you have rights over your personal information. Because Wali keeps your data only on your device, you exercise those rights directly in the app: you can view, change, export or delete your information at any time.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date above. If a future version of Wali starts collecting data off your device, we will update this policy before that version is released.
